Hell froze over
Andy Huddart and I both managed to complete the Hell of the Ashdown yesterday, despite the presence of ice all over the route. It made for a testing ride (or walk in a lot of places) - full details to come in the weekly briefing sheet. I think I've managed to download the route....

Drove round the route late the same day with Jim - still very icy - worryingly so in places, particularly some of the junctions and at the kerbside where the water had run off the fields and frozen in the gutters. Add the potholes and really cold weather and I have nothing but admiration for Alex and co. We drove past the final feed near Ide Hill and then back via Star Hill and still the riders were struggling back, some of whom looked very grim! - Rob
